The Asian Consulting Group held the Tax Hub Talks and the Grand Press Launch of its latest publication, “Iwas Buwis-it: What to Do When Tax Attacks” on Monday, July 29.

During the afternoon, the Philippine Tax Whiz discussed how to get rid of the BIR audit without compromises. He detailed the BIR audit process and what each taxpayer should do at each stage. The tax expert also gave tips when being audited.

Most importantly, he emphasized that taxpayers should not agree to under-the-table compromises.

“To save more on taxes, you need to start by making your own decisions,” said the tax expert. “Educating yourself is one decision. Not compromising is another.”

He was later joined in by financial literacy advocate Salve Duplito for a brief talk show. The ACG Founder continued the discussion on the BIR audit, spurred by the questions of the financial expert.

The book itself was officially unveiled later in the evening at its Grand Press Launch.

The Grand Press Launch was attended by ACG’s celebrity ambassadors, directors, and media partners. As the first part of the event, Boy Abunda hosted a talk show-type presentation with James Reid, Kean Cipriano, Salve Duplito, and Jose Magsaysay, Jr.

After the talk, “Iwas Buwis-it: What to Do When Tax Attacks” was officially unveiled.

The book is designed to be a casual read and does not discuss the topic of taxes in depth. Instead, what it does provide is a basic understanding of taxes as they are experienced. The book covers employment, careers, business, and even giving gifts.

The Philippine Tax Whiz has previously authored the bestselling tax handbook, “Got A Question About Taxes? Ask The Tax Whiz!”
